Program Manager, TheeSeeds Institute & The Women of Valor
James Roman Butler Jr. serves as the Program Manager for TheeSeeds Institute and The Women of Valor, where he oversees the strategic implementation of workforce development, whole-person care, and community-led re-entry initiatives. Deeply grounded in the values of family, service, and resilience, James brings a unique and powerful perspective to the organization’s mission of elevating individuals overcoming systemic barriers.
Growing up as the second oldest of twelve siblings, James developed a natural capacity for leadership, structural coordination, and protective advocacy at an early age. Managing large family dynamics instilled in him a foundational understanding of accountability, resource-sharing, and the profound impact of structured support systems—traits that define his current approach to program management and wrap-around service delivery.
James’s professional journey in behavioral health is uniquely full-circle: he successfully completed his own Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) psychoeduational practicum directly through TheeSeeds. This first-hand experience as an alumnus allows him to design and manage training cohorts with deep empathy, technical precision, and a true understanding of the credentialing pipeline. Complementing his professional dedication to mental health advocacy, James is currently walking out his spiritual calling as a training Deacon. His dual commitment to evidence-based peer recovery standards and spiritual stewardship ensures that his leadership remains anchored in integrity, compassion, and the pursuit of holistic, community-wide transformation.
